If your travels are bringing you to Vermont in June, you’re in luck! The Quechee Balloon Festival will take place on June 16th, 17th, and 18th. (This is a terrific event for celebrating the special dad in your life on Father’s Day!)

Are you interested in learning about the historical and cultural parts of Vermont? Visit Billings Farm and Museum, a modern working dairy farm and a museum of Vermont farm life in the 1890s. Discover a new found appreciation for life in Vermont. With special events, animals, a farm house, film, and a gift shop, you won’t run out of interesting things to do and see here.
EMBARK ON A CANOEING OR KAYAKING ADVENTURE
There’s no better place to spend summer in Vermont than outdoors! The Woodstock, Vermont area is full of fun things to do outside in the sunshine, but one of our favorites is kayaking and canoeing. Take a self-guided canoe or kayak trip along the pristine Connecticut River in Windsor, Vermont. Rentals are available through Great River Outfitters and North Star Canoe Rentals.
VISIT THE ONLY NATIONAL PARK IN VERMONT
Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historic Park is the only National Park in Vermont and it is well worth your time! This unique Vermont attraction focuses on the history and evolution of conservation stewardship in America.
GO FOR A HIKE
Get in some exercise the fun way with a hike! Explore the many local trails we are lucky to be located by. We have an extensive trail system in the village. From the top of Mt. Tom, experience breathtaking views of the village and the surrounding mountains. Don’t forget your camera!
RELAX AT SILVER LAKE
Silver Lake State Park is a beautiful spot to spend a sunny afternoon enjoying the fresh air and pretty views that surround us in Vermont. You can picnic, swim, and canoe at this location. It’s a great place for families to spend quality time together and it can also be a quiet and romantic spot for couples to enjoy a peaceful excursion. The park features a nice beach with a diving pier, large playground, concession stand, clean bathrooms, and a large covered space, which can be reserved for group outings. Relax and enjoy!
